Informatica Professional Services ensures our customers are successful in deploying our data integration and analytic platforms. Our consultants work with our customers and business partners both on short-term assignments to provide spot, Informatica expertise, as well as longer-term efforts to ensure a decision support project is delivered in accordance with the customer's expectations.
Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Professional Services Senior Consultant for Italy (to be based in Rome) to take responsibility for the consulting project activities including technical leadership and solution delivery for Informatica s products and with a proven capability in the areas of Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Data Quality and/or Datawarehousing.
We are looking for a dynamic professional services consultant who will travel, evangelize, consult, train and troubleshoot to enhance our client’s experiences. Working either independently or with a team of Informatica and/or Business Partner consultants, you will be a primary and critical point of contact for clients. In this highly visible and impactful role you will successfully employ a combination of technical expertise and client management skills to conduct on-site, post-sales consulting and product implementation.
As a Consultant you will be responsible for participating in consulting project activities including source data analysis, software design, implementation, testing, client training and deployment.

Your Responsibilities
You will work with our customers and business partners, both on short-term assignments to provide on-the-spot Informatica expertise and on longer-term efforts to ensure support projects are delivered in accordance with the customer's expectations. You will travel wherever necessary and work alone or with a team to provide support and solutions for assigned clients and projects. You will promote best practices while managing project deliverables, timelines and customer expectations. Your ultimate mission is to deliver a first-rate client experience and positive brand awareness for Informatica.
Desired Skills and Experience
Your Qualifications
• 3 years software solution development/deployment experience, preferably in data warehouse projects
• 3 years of experience managing solutions around data integration, BI deployment and data warehousing
• Demonstrated experience with PowerCenter, Unix and/or NT server experience, as well as RDBMS is considered a plus.
• Solid knowledge of current trends in data warehouse and business analytics technologies
• Experience with Informatica products - PowerCenter experience is a strong plus.
• Educated to degree level and has relevant experience either technically or functionally.
• Proven consultancy experience, core listening, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in order to carry out design and development activities.
• Proven experience with mainstream relational database management systems.
• Proven experience working with mainstream operating systems.
• Proven experience with mainstream business intelligence tools.
• Proficient in the use of SQL.
• Ability to build Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes using the Informatica suite of data integration tools or other ETL, Data Integration tools.
• Ability to travel freely throughout Italy & occasionally within EMEA - as most time will be spent at client sites.
• Located in or close to Rome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language and English.
